Wow! We have just completed our 2nd FireWalk in Parish New York.
We had some people attend who had come to the first
FireWalk. It is always good to have veterans. Somehow
it lends to the credibility and courage needed to let go
and be the powerful being that you really are.
Well, about the history!! Last FireWalk, we had several
teens from a special Unity Church group. I was excited to see
the youth participation, and their sharing was off the hook.
I will be posting some of the sharing soon.
What made History for this FireWalk was 9 year old Sarah
who was so sure that she could do it -- that she just did!!
She didn't even want me to talk, she just wanted to do it!
Of course, she had to have her mother walk across with her; 'Are
you sure? her mother asked - not quite ready herself... "C'mon
lets go!" and they both made it in great joy to the other side! She is the
youngest Fire Walker that I have had attend and walk!
What an inspiration! I wish I knew my power at that age --- and it is never
too late! And that was what was so striking - she knew her own power - she
just KNEW! There was no thinking or second guessing.
When I asked her how she felt afterwards during our sharing
time, she said: "I just feel really good!" and laughed.
By the activity, and chatter, in the room, It seemed t that she spoke for
everyone!
It was the mooshiest FireWalk that I have ever done! The ground was very
wet, and just at the edge of the fire, there was no grass to absorb the moisture,
so it wasn't unusual for the participants to be 3-4 inches deep in mud --no one
seemed to mind.. they just chose not to be hindered or distracted.
Each FireWalk presents its own idiosyncrasies. There always seems to be
some sort of challenge added to the red hot cinders; In Toronto, the field was
not cut, so the grass was about 4 feet tall, -we had to cut the grass by hand,
and I rolled over the area with my truck to soften the stalks- just minutes before
we were to start;
Another time in Toronto, we had the FireWalk in a public Park. When the park rangers saw
our permit, they decided to drop off some wood onto the site-- tree stumps
the size of mini-vans! and when we examined the site, it was full of broken glass
and debris! We managed, just hours before we started, to clear the area.
It was a multiple exercise in personal power - again, keeping our minds busy;
Another time in Syracuse, NY we had a white-out-blizzard - we had to plow a space for us
to start the fire, and plow a walkway from the house to the fire. When we went out
to walk, the snow turned to sleet then to rain! We had all the elements at hand --
enough to remove our minds, and get into the place of power.
Each time, the absolute perfect circumstance presented itself to distract
the mind from incessant chatter allowing the deeper truth of our power
surface. The Universe always Perfectly Provides!!
Oh, and by the way, stay tuned, we are planning another one! I wonder..
what the Universe will assist us with next?
Blessings and so much Light,
Gregory
